EXCITED!! Penguin Trio...Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #334

Hello!

You have one incredibly ecstatic - and honoured - *c* today, because I'm thrilled to announce that I've been invited to join the Cupcake Inspirations Challenges as a DT Sweetie!  I'm on Cloud 9!!

This week, my new and ultra-talented DT invite you to design a card/project for Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #334, featuring this yummy colour combination:

The sponsor for this challenge is Dilly Beans  and the lucky winner will receive 3 digi images of his/her choice

Dilly Beans have given the team a selection of images to play with for this challenge so here's what I've come up with - my second EVER digital image (this is a brand new path for me: I'm nervous, but what an opportunity to stretch creativity) - featuring a trio of cutie-pie penguins, sporting navy and rose scarves and toques (that's Canadian for 'hats' *grin*) as they stand on their rather sloping snowy hill.

I hope you'll stop by to see the team's amazing navy, rose and white creation, leave them some love, then design a card/project using the same colours and join us in the gallery.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Poinsettias...Happy Little Stampers~October Christmas Challenge, CAS(E) this Sketch #146, The Daily Marker 30 Day Colouring Challenge, Christmas Card Challenges #47~Anything Goes, STAMPlorations~Anything Goes

Hello,

Wednesday evening....already!

So, back in early October, when the Happy Little Stampers October Challenge

appeared, I was feeling very sorry for myself. Poinsettia-less, my collection was. Or so I thought. A little rummage through my stash Monday evening, to organize my Christmas stuff and guess what appeared...not one, but two poinsettias.  They'd completely escaped memory (yikes!).  Anyway, delighted I found them, and so, I've brought them out to play!

My STAMPlorations poinsettia, Chameleon pens coloured, lightly surrounded by a sky blue 'dot' stamp, also from STAMPlorations and, in betwixt and between,  my new sentiment from Happy Little Stampers, is joining the gallery at CAS(E) This Sketch #146

NOTE: Thrilled and delighted to see this card selected as a Happy Little Stampers Favourite.  THANK YOU!

My second features a Penny Black die, sponged with distress inks and pounced with Perfect Pearls for some shimmer and shine, set atop a STAMPlorations Flourishes stencil, inked with Delicata Gold, and sporting a Happy Little Stampers sentiment.

And another two cards added to my Christmas collection...yayyy!!

Fa La La La La...MUSE #138

Hello,

Wait for me, wonderful MUSE team...I'm a-coming!

We're just home from a 3 1/2 hour road trip (each direction) for my husband to compete in a cyclo-cross race. A long drive but the weather was fabulous, the road conditions fine, the wind non-existent (a real treat for us), the company (my husband is such a cutie-pie) pretty darn good and the race...well, that was a challenge!  Good thing he brought both his cyclo-cross bikes, as a flat mid-way saw him in need of bike #2.  He's tired from racing and I, from being cheerleader #1.

While he's putting his bikes back in the stable with the rest of his two-legged steads, I'm quickly posting my card for MUSE #138, where Anita delighted us with this lovely floral-and-polka-dots gem...

Anticipating a Halloween card from me, 'prhaps?  Let's see....Nope!  Christmas card!  On stage, my LF Winter Sparrows, nestled in a wintry wonderland of 'snowy' Let's Bokeh patterned paper AND my brand-spanking new sentiment from Happy Little Stampers: Mixed Christmas Sentiments.  Awesome set...you'll be seeing more from this collection very soon!

NOTE:  Thrilled and honoured to be one of three favourites at Muse #138. THANK YOU!!

Off to make dinner...

Hope your weekend was fabulous; your Monday even better!

Hugs

BOO!...Inkspirational Challenge #94~Cute Halloween or Pumpkin/Owl, Simon Says Monday Challenge~Monster Mash, Dragonfly Journeys #28~Ghost,

Hello,

Guess who chose the theme for Inkspirational Challenge #94?  Pick me, pick me!  Here it is:

Yes, I know...I'm just a wee bit obsessed infatuated with Halloween cards/projects, but with just a snippet of  time left to go, I figured *why not* offer up yet one more chance at inviting you to create something spook-tacular!

My design team  - just a terrific group of gals - were sweet enough to indulge me, and so too is our Guest Designer: the sweet...the wonderful...the incredibly talented...Becca of Damsel of Distressed Cards fame!  Please be sure to visit her, as well as SandieMarina ShaunaPiaNonniKimYvonne
and leave them some love; you'll make them incredibly happy and will come away completely inspired to create - and share - your own CUTE Halloween (or pumpkin/owl) creation.

For you, I've combined a few of my favourite Halloween images...mummy, ghost, sign post, the cutie-patootie spider, a bit of spider web and a good old-fashioned "BOO!"

We will be choosing a top pick/s from this challenge and inviting one entrant to join us as a Guest Designer.  I'd be thrilled if it were you!

See you in the Ink gallery!

Candy Corn Shaker...Tag You're It Challenge #33

Hello

Welcome to Tag You're It #33, where talented Kara is inviting us to draw inspiration from this abundantly cute candy corn tag!  Tempting, right?  So don't even try to resist!  Please check out what our fabulous Guest Designer, Nancy Thomas, and my teammates - Anja, Erin, Donna, Jeanne, Tracey - have created to inspire you and then jump right into the gallery with a 'sweet tag' all your own.

Confession: I did not 'resist' - in any way, shape or form - Kara's tag.  Nope, dived right in!  Please welcome my PTI Candy Corn Shaker, not only once (the first is my inspiration tag), but six times over.  Right now, they're with my niece, waiting to be delivered -with a treat and pencil attached -  come Halloween, to her 'special' friends.  Hope they like them as much as much as I enjoyed creating them (well, except for a mishap or ten with the escaping beads...and I haven't even put a dent in to the container I bought...Bead-a-palooza!)

My inspiration Candy Corn Shaker...

and the rest of the bunch, just because....

The next two are candy corns in costumes...

A little bit fiddly to create (for me), but once done, such fun to give a shake, shake, shake!  I may make a couple more for the Admin Assistants I work with....a little something to shake when the stress heats up *grin*

So, be it colours, images, design: tell us what caught your eye and watch us applaud with delight!  See you in the gallery!

Hugs,

Mummy, Mummy, Mummy...Retro sketches #186, Just Us Girls #315~Colour Week, Cupcake Inspirations #332~Bone, Ocean, Shadow, CAS(E) this Sketch #145, AAA Cards #50~CAS Halloween, Simon Says Monday Challenge~Monster Mash

Hello,

A quick post to share three cards that have a common 'theme', but before I do that:  Yayyyyyy Blue Jays!! So excited!!

My cutie-patootie mummy stamp came out to play, play and play...and I decided, in all three cases, not to make him 'scary.'  He's dressed in  rather colourful bandages, as you'll see.

Mummy #1 is for CAS(E) this Sketch #145

(Had do use some of my Halloween patterned papers...)

Mummy #2 and #3 drew their design inspiration from Retro sketches #186 (although I used a 'spooky' sign post in place of the tag...improvisation *grin*)

Mummy #2 followed the colour scheme over at Just Us Girls #315~Colour Week

With Mummy #3, I tried to get as close to the palette at Cupcake Inspirations #332~Bone, Ocean, Shadow as I could (challenging!!).

NOTE:  Honoured and Thrilled to selected as one of the Cupcake Sweeties. THANK YOU!

I'm also sharing over at AAA Cards #50~CAS Halloween

Off to watch the Cubs and Mets....

So thrilled you dropped by; you've definitely brightened my day!

Monster Halloween...Addicted to Stamps and More #167~Make Your Mark, Lawnscaping Challenge~Too Cute to Spook, Simon Says Monday Challenge~Monster Mash

Hello!

After a wonderful yet, as always, too short trip to visit my family, I arrived home and BAM!  Hit with the realization that I hadn't created my DT card for Addicted to Stamps and More #167~Make Your Mark.  Of course, given how familiar I am with 'last minute' (which doesn't always translate to 'super fantastic), yet always in dire need of inspiration of some fashion, I went on a search for ideas. It didn't take long before I found my muse, in the form of Melania Deasy and her delightful card here.

I'm still well-immersed in my infatuation with Halloween cards/projects (coming to an end, soon...Christmas cards a-calling), I brought allllll my little Lawn Fawn monsters out for a play date.  I 'made my mark' with my Chameleon pens, distress ink (sponging) and white gel pen (it's hard to see the freckles I added, but they're all sporting a sprinkling).  The 'hills' add kind of a cool touch to my usual same old, same old panels and I can see using this design again, with different images.  For now, those monsters make me smile. Seriously, look at those faces *grin*

My ultra-talented Design Team has shared some amazing *Make Your Mark* cards; please be sure to stop by, show them some love then create a card/project that reflects your inspiration with inks, pencils, water-colours, markers...

Our wonderful sponsor this week is

and the prize is 7 digis to our winner.

Looking forward to seeing you in the gallery!

Tag, You're It Challenge #32~Reminder

Hello...

Yes, many of us are in the midst of creating cards/projects that are fall and *ahem* Halloween themed, BUT in the back of our minds, we're well aware that Christmas is drawing near. Very near!

Have you started your Christmas cards yet?  I know some of you have...some of you are likely close to done and some of us...well, we're in the 'thinking about' thinking about Christmas cards stage. Guess which category I fall under...easy, right?  However....

Today, I'm here with a 'reminder' card for Tag, You're It Challenge #32, where Kelly's darling Santa tag is taking center stage...

Guess what I did *pats self on back*...made a Christmas card!  Yay...that makes...let's see...three done! On. A. Roll! (she says, in jest...)

Anyway...my card parallels Kelly's with having a

  • Santa (Mama Elephant)
  • a gold 'joy' sentiment (Clearly Besotted)
  • kraft card base
  • red patterned paper.

I added the ME tree simply because it's so darn cute!

For more inspiration, head over to Tag You're It here and here to see my talented DT's creations. Inspiration guaranteed!  Looking forward to seeing you in the gallery!

Wishing you a wonderful Friday; so glad you dropped by!
