Let's Chill and Cheer...CAS(E) this Sketch #140, NBUS Challenge #5, Simon Says Wednesday Challenge~Die Crazy

Hello!

The air is chilly; the leaves are burnished with red-orange hues and swirling in piles on the ground;the larch trees are wearing gowns of golden needles; new snow has appeared on the mountain peaks, and even though the signs of Fall are abundant and clear, I am NOT ready to give up summer just yet! Nope!

Two cards today, for CAS(E) this Sketch #140, and as is my way, I've made some *ahem* adaptations...slight adaptations...

Ta dahhhh...still hanging on to summer, my friends, with a couple more of my NBUS Penguins in Paradise.  I hope the 'beach scenes' I stamped with my various brush strokes images for these cutie-patooties fits the bill with the sketch...

Because this is their first time on stage, my waddlers are heading over to awesome Darnell's NBUS Challenge #5

and, because there's die-cuts aplenty, we're also off to Simon Says Wednesday Challenge~Die Crazy.

I so appreciate you indulging me in holding on to summer..

Thanks so much for dropping by;your visit and comments add sparkle to my day!
Hugs,

Penguins are adorable ! Little outfits and cocktails too!?!! SWEET! I thought you watercolored the background and was going to head on over for help with mine .. maybe you're on to something here. I think black is the hardest color to work with and your shading on the little guys is spectacular.

Awwwww I just adore these little penguins and what you have done with them!! Your cards are both just as cute as they can be! I really love how you have created the look of water and beach behind them with the paint swipes! So creative! Your description of the weather in your area sounds just heavenly! We were cool , but have warmed back up. The kids even swam today. I'm ready to give up my summer for some cool air and snow on the peaks! Sounds wonderful!! (( Hugs))

Personally, I think you 'stretched' the sketch in the perfect direction! I totally see the horizontal lines of the sketch in your two BEYOND cutie patootie penguin scenes! Fabulous job with the shading...especially the beach ball - i'ts awesome!

Just curious - did you add some shading below the penguins, the ball and the flower or is it a naturally occurring shadow from a great photo?

Dang girl! These little swimmers are so cute! And the way you've created your beach....absolutely brilliant. Makes my brain say, "why didn't I think of that??!!" We are starting to see a few signs of Fall here too, though no mountains or snow yet. Hope you're having a fun and crafty weekend. Bev

Hey Carol, this is summer's last weekend, so you were well within your rights to post a couple of summer cards while it's still official! And how great are these! You did an awesome job coloring them and creating adorable scenes. Those penguins sure make me smile. Thanks so much for sharing! Hugs!

I don't blame you for wanting to hang on for a bit longer, I always miss Summer when it departs but I do look forward to cold, rainy days by the fire. We went from t-shirts and shorts on Friday to thermals over the weekend. Today is sunny again but the wind is freezing. Just can't win! These little guys are so adorable and I love the way you created the background with brushstroke stamps, genius! Hope to see these little penguins on many more cards!!

You simply never make a meh card, Carol! These are two more magnificent delights from you!! Thank you so much for playing in my NBUS Challenge #5 ~ which was so long ago now! I’m sorry that nursing the Mister back to good health has delayed my visit to thank you. Thank you for your good wishes and prayers! Enjoy your day! I hope you are finally at home and able to be settled in for a while, Ms. Karazy Buzy! Hugs, Darnell
